Eleganttia ja ylellistä sisustusta

Georg Jensen kiinnostui jo varhain metallisepän työstä, ja hän päätti muuttaa Kööpenhaminaan ja työskennellä oppipoikana kultasepänliikkeessä. Vuonna 1895 hän aloitti kuvanveiston opinnot Tanskan kuninkaallisessa taideakatemiassa ja työskenteli myöhemmin posliinitehtaassa ennen kuin perusti oman yrityksensä vuonna 1904.

Yli sadan vuoden ajan erilaiset muotoiluyhteistyöt ovat kietoutuneet toisiinsa. Perustamisestaan lähtien Georg Jensen on tehnyt yhteistyötä maailman johtavien suunnittelijoiden, kuten Arne Jacobsenin, Helle Damkjærin, Sigvard Bernadotten, Henning & Nina Koppelin, Jørgen Møllerin ja Verner Pantonin kanssa. Kaikki suunnittelijat ovat osallistuneet asiantuntemuksellaan ja luovuudellaan tyylikkääseen mallistoon, joka huokuu ajattomuutta ja laadukasta käsityötaitoa. Georg Jensenin valikoimasta löydät klassikoita, kuten kauniin Bernadotte-termospullon, joka perustuu Sigvard Bernadotten suunnittelemaan malliin vuodelta 1938, ja Moneyphant-norsutossun, jonka tanskalainen arkkitehti Jørgen Møller suunnitteli vuonna 2010. Yhteistä näille tuotteille on se, että niissä yhdistyvät toiminnallisuus ja innovatiivinen muotoilu.

Tuotemerkki on osa Royal Scandinavian Groupia, kun posliinivalmistaja Royal Copenhagen otti yrityksen haltuunsa 1970-luvulla.
